Drunklancer's Dromedary Review
To some of us, Trading is the role we best suit. To others it is Mercenary work. Some of us even resort to Piracy and Murder to get what we want. However, there are some of us who have appetites for all these things. Occasional trade, occasional piracy, occasional adventure. To those truly free Freelancers, I recommend the Dromedary.
Power & Performance
No other ship combines the maneuvrability and firepower of a Heavy Fighter with the sturdiness and capacity of a Freighter. The Dromedary has a robust hull with decent equipment slots capable of holding class 6 shields. The armament is impressive, with a total of three class 5 and five class 6 weapon slots, only one of which does not fire forward, and that's a turret (weapon #4).
I know its a Freighter but..
The Dromedary turns well and has considerable firepower despite it's Freighter status. Three main weapon slots and five turrets give it such a punch especially with max. weapon classes. Seriously, not much is going to stand up against the Drom unless they're a player in a decent ship or a horde of AI baddies.
I mean this ship was made for the rough and tough Independant Worlds, so no surprise that it can hold its own in a firefight. The only letdown is that it's hull is pretty average strength considering how combat-worthy it is. But here's the kicker.. all of this cargo space and awesome firepower costs only 62000 credits. Are they insane?
Summary
No other Freighter can do what the Dromedary does. Some Heavy Fighters cannot do what the Dromedary does. Hardly any Light Fighters can put up with what the Dromedary can handle. It is for these reasons that you should get this ship and keep it until you either fall in love or grudgingly accept it is a masterpiece. Yes, it's a freighter, but it's the meanest, fastest, most shooty freighter you can buy.
