Rhodan's Eagle Review

Much like myself; whether you love it, hate it or ignore it, the Eagle is everywhere. No other ship fits the most powerful weapons in Sirius on such a fast and agile airframe. Simply put, it is the pinnacle of offensive capability and the optimum choice for those who wish to be the best they can be.

Top Guns
As expected for a top-level ship, the Eagle fits Four class 10 and Two class 9 forward guns, with a class 10 turret that doesn't fire forward but fires to front-left and front-right. Naturally, the class 9 and 10 forward mounts will provide the majority of firepower, but the turret is particularly helpful on wide turns, although the turret turns slowly, so if you are changing directions it will take a few seconds for it to swivel around.

Power & Grace
At 9900 hull points, it is the most fragile of the class 10 VHFs. But take it out for a test flight and you'll notice it's impressive agility. The Eagle's turn rate is almost as fast as the Hammerhead's and it easily out-turns the Sabre and Titan. With a class 10 shield mounting, 70 cargo units and 63 repair units, the Eagle can survive through strength and agility combined, giving it a great all-round dogfighting capability.

Summary
A top gun's delight, The Eagle can best be compared to it's earthbound namesake, the F-15 Eagle. It combines maneuvrability with uncompromising firepower to deliver a deadly dose of destruction in dogfights. The turret arc allows for wide turn firing and can be an essential finisher when the opponent's hull is weakened. In the hands of an expert, the Eagle is quite simply unbeatable.

Pros
Cons
The fastest turn rate of the Class 10 Ships gives it the edge in dogfights.

The weakest hull of the Class 10 ships.

Good all-round capability at the very highest level. It is simply the most capable ship in Sirius.
It can lose its wings, and thus temporarily lose both class 9 mounts.
The turret fires 270 degrees to the rear, leaving some room to fire forward on wide turns.
It looks like it was made from shiny cardboard.
