Rhodan's Valkyrie Review

The Valkyrie stands bold against modern conventions. It is a symbol of strength, courage and honour. Truly a knight's vessel.

Honour through Strength
This ship has incredible firepower in the form of two class 7 and three class 8 main guns, with a class 8 turret that fires toward the rear. This, combined with the 5800 strength hull makes the Valkyrie an immediate and terrifying threat to an oppressor. The high standards of Rheinland shipyards ensure high quality, while demanding a high price. The Valkyrie requires 202,000 credits for ownership.

Courage through Honour
A ship with such strengths must have balance. The Valkyrie has a heavy, weighted turn rate, emphasized by the size of the ship's chassis. This makes it a large and easy target, especially when up against fast, agile craft. Nevertheless, the Valkyrie can bring down such tiny oppressors with one salvo, so at least it's cumbersome maneuvrability is compensated by it's firepower.

Summary
In the hands of an experienced and dedicated pilot, the Valkyrie shines. It is a mobile chapel of destruction, bringing to bear an incredible weapons platform combined with a strong hull perfect for battling dangerous pirates. Its cumbersome maneuvrability is compensated greatly by the fantastical energies it can unleash. The Valkyrie is a powerful knight, and must be treated with respect when encountered.
