The Drunken Lancers share some important advice on buying and flying..

Steve: "The Buy Ship screen lets you trade weapons, equipment and cargo that will reduce the price of the ship. Remember that your own ship has a trade-in value as well, so it's a part-exchange not a full price."

Johann: "In the Buy Ship section, you can attach and detach equipment from your ship before you buy it, so you get a chance to see what will fit and what won't. Great!"

Choiceofweapon: "New ships are always fitted with average strength graviton shields, so remember that when you buy a class 8, you get a class 6 shield free, but make sure you buy maximum strength ASAP."

Chilli: "If your ship's power systems are no good with the highest class weaponry, try missile launchers instead as they don't use any power."
