Some trade routes listed here might make it a lot quicker and easier for you to make money. So if you don't like shortcuts, don't read on.

Short Routes
Some trade routes only take a short amount of time, covering perhaps only one system. These routes are best used when you have a freighter and lots of patience to go back and forth, back and forth, lather, rinse repeat.. you get the idea.

Route	Light Arms from New York to Bering
Bases	Detroit Munitions to Freeport 2
Profit	350 profit per unit, fill a Rhino up for $28000 total profit
Time	5 minutes to get there, bring h-fuel back to texas.
Problems	Xenos, Outcasts, Rogues
	StevenKeel: "I use this one to get me into the Texas Bering Texas trade route nice n easy. It's a good starter route."

Route	Texas to Bering to Texas
Bases	Houston to Freeport 2 to Houston
Profit	114ppu then 113ppu back. round trip total profit with a Rhino is $18260
Time	2 lanes, 1 gate there and back in 5 minutes
Problems	Xenos in Starfliers, Rogues in Wolfhounds
	StevenKeel: "I use this route right at the start because you don't need much money to make it work. Those rogues can be a real pain though."

Route	Engine Components from California to Magellan
Bases	Planet Los Angeles to Freeport 4
Profit	350 profit per unit, a Rhino full nets you $28000 total profit
Time	Less than 5 Minutes there and back, 5 min with pirates.
Problems	Outcasts, Hackers, no trade back to LA
	StevenKeel: "This route served me well, but I needed around $16000 to buy the Engine Comps, so only do this once you've earned about $30000 or you'll have to make more trips."

Route	Light Arms from New York to Shikoku to Colorado
Bases	Detroit Munitions to Deshima Station to Denver
Profit	437 profit per unit to Deshima, 480ppu to Denver, a Rhino full nets you a total of $73360 for the whole trip.
Time	To Colorado to Kepler to Shikoku takes about 6 minutes tops, total route takes about 10 mins allowing for lane problems.
Problems	Hackers in Daggers, Xenos in Hawks, Rogues in Wolfhounds
	Johann: "Sometimes I prefer to trade engine components back from Deshima to Freeport 4, Magellan, it makes for a more profitable trip, about a thousand ppu!"

You might be wondering why we havn't listed the biggest and best routes.. well, that would spoil things a little too much for the moment.. we might do it later. In the meantime, enjoy whatcha get, it's free dammit!
